Elder
Paulette Williams, the youngest of seven children to Dorothy Watson and the late Robert Daniel Watson, Sr. is
a native of Philadelphia., Pennsylvania. She
was educated in its public schools.
She attended Temple University and majored in Music Education with a concentration in voice. On August 5, 1978, she married Bishop
Williams and moved to Richmond, Virginia. After the birth of her two children, Gavin and Casie, she enrolled in Virginia Commonwealth University and received her Bachelor of Music Education degree.
She was employed with the Chesterfield County Public School system twelve years as a music teacher and four years as an Instructional Technology Integrator. She began her graduate studies in Administration & Supervision at George Washington University.
Elder
Williams journeyed with her husband to Lynchburg, Virginia to become pastors of New Birth ICM. After working one year as Director
of Blossoming Branches Child Care Center, she returned to the public school system where she is currently employed in the
Amherst County Public Schools.
Her
Christian experience began at St. Paul Holy Church, under the pastorate of the late Elder Lee Vanner Pugh in Philadelphia, PA. She worked faithfully in the ministry as a Sunday school teacher and secretary. She was also a member of the Young Adult choir.
When she moved to Richmond, she continued her love for ministry at Jerusalem Holy Church and New Jerusalem ICM. She served as Youth leader, Sunday
school teacher, choir director for the Chamblin Concert Ensemble, Senior Choir & Mass Choir, member of the Praise &
Worship team, and leader of the Women’s ministry and assisted with the new member’s class at NJICM. In 2003, she was ordained as an Elder.
While
living in Lynchburg, she successfully completed general and specific requirements from the Bread of Life School of the
Bible, completing level one - four courses.
